Q: What options are available for breakfast and lunch?
A: The Common Ground Center is about a ten minute drive from two different towns, each with multiple breakfast and lunch dining options and grocery stores for picking up supplies. The communal refrigerator is the same size as a residential refrigerator and the same size as the one at the Huntington church. We will be storing dinner leftovers in it, but there will be some space for others. We suggest coolers that can be kept in the EcoLodge communal room/kitchen and use the freezer to keep your ice packs cool.
Q: What can I expect from the tent sites?
A: There are nine tent platforms scattered around a large mowed field behind the EcoLodge. The platforms will be first come, first served. Otherwise, tents can be pitched anywhere in or on the edges of that same field. There are no designated tenting sites on the field. These are not drive-up tenting sites like you would find at a KOA or State Park. This is more like pitching a tent at the instructor's house. The tenting field is adjacent to the bathhouse.
The camping field can get slippery when it rains. To that end, campers may wish to drive to their site to drop off equipment, and park in the lot. Those camping inside their cars or vans can park them for the week in the camping field, but park at the edge of the field and point them downhill so the vehicle can leave without spinning out if it has been rainy. RVs must park in the parking lot (there are no hookups).
Q: Can I have food in my cabin?
A: There is no food allowed in the cabins. Food should be kept to the Eco-Lodge Common Room or in campers' vehicles.
Q: I did not get an email response after I completed the registration form, should I have?
A: Yes, once you have completed the registration, you should receive an automated response in your email inbox within minutes. If you did not, check spam. If not there, you may have not correctly completed the registration form, please try again.
Q: Will there be coffee on site?
A: Yes, there will be a coffee maker. Bring your favorite coffee. We don't know if coffee is supplied by the Center yet.
Q: Is there a map of the grounds?
A: Yes - download here: 2._lodging_campus_map.pdf
